6 Sunflower Farms You Must Visit In Seattle

What better way to celebrate the end of summer than by strolling through a field of sunflowers? Since yellow is my favorite color, I look forward to this time of the year! There are several sunflower fields you can visit in the Seattle area during this time of year, so I have created a shortlist for your reference.

A few things to keep in mind,

The best time to visit is between August and September. However, sunflowers are affected by the weather condition, so I like to visit earlier to catch them in full bloom.

Some fields require booking ahead, so call or visit their websites before making a trip. Like other festivals that have taken place during the times we’re living in, they may have strict safety measures in place, so be sure to follow the guidelines they have implemented.

Go heavy on the bug spray. Sunflowers attract bees and butterflies, so beware if you’re not a fan of either. They don’t bother you unless, of course, you bother them first.

If you’re heading to a flower farm that permits its guest to pick flowers, I suggest you bring your flower clippers. They will have some clippers at most places and sanitize them before use, but it doesn’t hurt to take extra precautions with everything going on.

If you’re looking for ways to bring in the fall season, here are some sunflower fields near Seattle to check out.
